Submission deadline: November 15, 2026
ArtFul Visual Arts Initiative is seeking artists and craftspeople to create designs for the Teddy Trail, a high-visibility outdoor public art project coming to downtown Ridgefield, CT in summer 2027.
Approximately two dozen fiberglass teddy bear and heart sculptures, ranging from 24 to 57 inches, will be displayed throughout downtown Ridgefield. The sculptures will be auctioned in fall 2027, with proceeds benefiting the ArtFul Visual Arts Initiative and the Teddy Balkind Charitable Foundation.
Artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to submit design ideas. Selected artists will be paired with a local business sponsor and will be paid an honorarium to complete their sculpture by spring 2027.
