Description
Students will explore and experiment using a variety of materials, focusing each week on a specific drawing or painting project. Instruction will include the use of materials and various techniques using pencil, colored pencil, pastel, charcoal, watercolor, and acrylic paint. Learning observation skills and how to apply them to creating a composition will be practiced in all classes. Personal expression will be encouraged in a supportive atmosphere where each student will work at their own level while participating in the group lessons. All materials will be supplied. Please wear appropriate clothing or bring a smock. Artwork on display in our gallery will be shown to the students to encourage and inspire.
Students wishing to come twice a week may also sign up for the Anime class on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm as both classes will be a hybrid open studio where each student will work on their own art projects, whether it is anime or traditional drawing and painting.
