Clay classes are designed for all levels from beginners to accomplished potters. Students will explore traditional throwing (potter’s wheel), hand building, and sculptural techniques. Our goals will be to create well-crafted, aesthetically pleasing objects. These objects will include hand built as well as thrown forms. In class we will explore creating functional as well as decorative items. Hand-build sculptural forms will also be explored through the use of a variety of techniques such as modeling and carving.
