A. Eric Arctander Gallery at the Putnam Arts Council
PAC invites you to our annual show of original fine art created by artists throughout the region. This is a juried show, awards will be presented at the Opening Reception Saturday, Oct. 7th.
Opening Reception & Awards Presentation: Saturday, October 7, 2-5pm.
Additional Gallery Hours: Sundays, October 8, 15 and 22, 2-5pm, and weekdays Tuesday to Friday, 1-5PM
Closing Event: Artist Talk: Sunday, October 22, 4-5pm
**Artists pick up artwork at conclusion of show: Sunday October 22, 5-6pm or by appointment.
Juror of Selections & Awards: Kathy Feighery has been practicing art, specifically painting, for 30 years. She has participated in numerous shows in the United States and Italy as well as art fairs in NY and Miami. Her work is included in various corporate and private collections. She has adjudicated many art competitions, including NYFA grant awards, over the course of her career.
Jeanne Demotses Excellence in Arts Awards: Best in Show $150, Second Place ($100) and Third Place ($75) + 5 Honorable Mentions.

Eric Arctander Gallery at the Putnam Arts Council, & the Southeast Museum
The Putnam Arts Council and the Southeast Museum commemorate the 60th anniversary of their inception this year. In celebration of this significant milestone, they have united their efforts to champion the beauty and heritage of Putnam County. In collaboration with Putnam County Tourism, they extend an invitation to local artists and historical organizations, urging them to participate in an exhibition that captures the essence of Putnam County.
All submissions will be accepted, prizes will be awarded, and the work will be exhibited in the A. Eric Arctander Gallery, and the Southeast Museum This opportunity looks to not only involve artists but also engage historical institutions in the pursuit of showcasing the enduring allure of Putnam County, both in its contemporary vibrancy and its cherished past.
Artists 13 years or older are invited to submit up to two pieces of original art created in the prior twelve months. All media accepted. Works must feature outdoor Putnam County scenes.
Jeanne Demotses Excellence in Arts Awards: Best in Show $150, Second Place ($100) and Third Place ($75) will be selected by the Visual Arts Committee of the Putnam Arts Council.
Work drop-off: Saturday October 28th and Sunday October 29th, 2-5pm, or by appointment. Hand delivered to PAC at 521 Kennicut Hill Road, Mahopac, NY.

ARTS LINK encourages the growth of artists and arts organizations, connects artists with their communities, and helps to build a local and regional audience for the arts.
The Program facilitates the presentation of quality arts exhibitions, performances and activities throughout Putnam County that are open to the public.
The Putnam Arts Council manages the submission and review process for the ARTS LINK Grant Awards and disseminates public funds received from the New York State Council on the Arts through its Statewide Community Regrant Program, with support from the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature, as well as awards from Putnam County government.
Application online submission date: Friday, November 17, 2023, by 4pm
The 2024 Arts Link Grant Application is an on-line application, available on PAC’s web site, www.putnamartscouncil.com. Call PAC at 845.803.8622 should you need assistance.

Stephanie Wolfson has been selected the winner of the A. Eric Arctander Artist Grant.
This grant was created by Eric’s family and friends to honor Eric not only as an artist but as a teacher, mentor and friend of younger artists who assisted them in pursuing a life in art. Details to follow.
