October 27, 2017
Dear Members of the Putnam Arts Council:
These colder, shorter days tell us the year is winding down and that it is time for celebration and reflection and to plan for the future. 2017 has been a most active year for the Arts Council, with 9 terrific exhibits, numerous monthly visual arts forums, funding of 22 quality arts projects, and the expansion of our educational offerings in the visual and performing arts.
Our home, the Belle Levine Art Center, is lovingly used on a daily basis and this year’s Annual Giving Appeal will be dedicated to the building. Specifically, we plan to improve the climate control in the pottery studio and to reduce the noise level in the A. Eric Arctander Gallery.
With close to 400 members and growing strong, a tax deductible donation of $20 or more from each of you will help us realize our goal of $8,000. Our members have always responded generously to our one and only annual fundraiser and we hope this year will be no different. Whether you enjoy a class or an exhibit or attend one of the many quality arts projects our Arts Link Grant program supports throughout the County and throughout the year, we’re in this together and are proud of who we are and what we do!
In a gesture of optimism, we have enclosed a reply form and return envelope but if you prefer to donate through our secure online option, that works, too.
On behalf of the Board of the Putnam Arts Council, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with family, friends and ART, of course and thank you, our members, for all you do for us.
