Course designed for beginner to intermediate
This class will introduce beginners to intermediate students to use pastel techniques working from still life objects and reference. Students will acquire basic knowledge and skills to initiate drawing and painting including: knowledge of color wheel and how to mix colors and select color schemes, how to make strokes and blend colors, how to use colors and values to make objects appear to have volume, reflect light and appear in perspective, understand basic concepts of composition with emphasis on having a focal point of interest and a path for the eye to travel with the picture plane.
